Hey, you there.  You starin’ at my ears?  Yeah yeah, I got dog ears, so what?  Welcome to The Pitts, the number one hive of ruffians, thieves, and debauchery in the unfree world.  It’s funny, how even after a singular government takes control of the world, there are still those who can defy it and get away clean.  Funny, how even after what seemed like the end of the world, people still live in sin, booze, and poon.  This place is probably one of the finest places to get it, too.  So long as ADVENT gets it steel from us, they don’t care what we do.  Me?  I’m a bouncer, here at the Red Light Bar, a gentlemen’s club.  Although, when I’m not bouncing penniless moochers here, I’m out helping to keep what little order there is in this joint.  Hey, what’s that sound, a woman screaming, at this hour of night?  She really oughta know better, but I guess I can leave my post to see what’s what.  You know, this place isn’t exactly safe for a woman, at any hour, but especially not at night.   Hey, I think I know that guy who’s got her.  Yeah…

As I slowly disembark from the plane, papers in hand, I look to the horizon.  Can this really be?  It is, after such a long time, I’ve finally returned.  Although the horizon has been further blurred by growing buildings and progressive industry, its spirit remains.  Within the crowded city streets, I see many people, many emotions, their dreams, their ambitions, and yet even when lost within this sea of humanity, I cannot help but feel strangely at ease.  This is it, now that I’m free, I’ll start a new life.  I think I’ll start by taking a walk through my old neighborhood.  I wonder how much it has changed since I was a boy…

This is terrible, my first day here at the lab and all the other doctors simply laughed at me.  I know that my plan will work; they just have to be willing to open their eyes to the new and unexplored.  We cannot let petty morality constantly impede the greater goal of human progress!  My vision, the perfect human being, is only a few experiments away, but where to get the funding, and the test subjec1ts?  Perhaps I should look to the competition instead.  Yes, I’ll call ADVENT, and see what they think…
